Cecil County School History Site
This page is dedicated to documenting the history of schools and education in Cecil County, Maryland. In 1958, the Cecil County Retired Teacher's Association asked local historian, Ernest A. Howard, to publish a history of public schools and a documentation of all of the country schoolhouses located throughout the county. What was omitted from this history was documentation of modern school facilities and the once segregated schools for African-Americans. It is the goal of this page to build off of Mr. Howard's research and bring his survey up to date with the modern schools and former African-American schools. Be sure to check back to this page when we have more information and content available to publish.
