ELKTON — Mason Dixon Line — As we ramble about along the Mason Dixon Line in Cecil County, we often stop to examine surviving artifacts or other attractions associated with this old boundary. This marker is located on the Old Baltimore Pike, a few miles east of Elkton at the state line. This is where the Old Post Road crossed the Mason Dixon Line, which was run between 1763 and 1767. The sign was erected by the Captain Jeremiah Baker Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
