Planning your visit
The Historical Society of Cecil County is open to the public and we welcome all visitors (check times and dates below). If you’re interested in arranging a group visit, please contact us ahead of time. Given some notice, we can help you prepare any areas of specific interest. We may even be able to arrange for the volunteer with the most knowledge of your subject to be here for questions.

Monday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Thursday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
1st Saturday of each month 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

The Historical Society is closed on the following Federal holidays:
January 3 – Society reopens
January 17 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
February 21 – Presidents’ Day
May 30 – Memorial Day
July 4 – Independence Day
Sept. 3-5 – Labor Day Weekend
Oct. 10 – Columbus Day
Nov. 24 – Thanksgiving Day
Dec. 16-Jan. 4 – Christmas-New Year’s (Society closed)
Jan. 5, 2021 – Society reopens

Snow Closing Policy: Whenever Cecil County schools and/or Cecil College are closed, anticipate that the Society is also closed.
